What is Hip Hop IQ?

I ruffled some feathers of the hip hop elite (self imposed) on the Yahoo hip hop corner. My crime? I dissed Tupac and other “pop hop” acts.





My punishment was to be called dumbs as there are more than 10 other users with higher hip hop IQs on here better than me. Ain’t that some sh!t!!!





If a man like Tom Hanks does that mean he is wrong cause the next man is a Brando fan? They are both actors on the block right? Taste is taste. I don’t like certain rappers for their lack of talent. Look at boy/girl bands. They sell big time – doesn’t make them talented per se or respected in musical circles.





What is hip hop IQ?





Knowledge of what hip hop is? Elements? Block party history? Zip guns %26amp; gang violence? Break beat %26amp; rare groove collection? Understanding lyrics? Roll call of the originators? Or maybe it’s not offending Tupac fans!!!!!

Don't worry about it. There are regualrs on here who feel exactly the same way as you do. Ignore the rest of them.


I share your opinion about Tupac by the way (yeah, give me thumbs down, it's not like they hurt) and hip pop.


The trick is to sift through the "I Luv Lil Wayne" and "OMG! Soulja Boy is SOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!" questions, and you'll see that there are a lot of people who do share your views on here. Add them to your contacts when you find them, then you can answer their questions and ignore the others.
