hey i just got the hip hop abs dvd and i LUV IT!! it's so addicting. but since i've only been using it for two days now, i don't see results yet (obviously). anyway, i was just wondering if anyone out there has tried hip hop abs and can tell me how fast i can see results. i know there's a "six day slim down" plan and everything, but i don't have the money to get the stuff to follow that. i really want to lose a considerable amount of weight fast. what can i do to make it go faster? and how fast can i lose the weight if i just simply eat healthier? this question is just for those who have had experience w/ hip hop abs. tell me everything u know and everything u have experienced. thanx! much luv people!
Hip Hop Abs...?
I told you before that you're not going to find anyone who's used Hip Hop Abs...but stop worrying about how long it's going to take to see results. Just keep staying active and eating right, and you should start seeing some results in 4-8 weeks, depending on your body makeup and how strictly you're adhering to your regimen. But I'll answer your questions:
what can i do to make it go faster?
The ONLY way to lose weight naturally is by burning more calories than you take in. So say that on a normal day, you burn 2000 calories. If you eat more than 2000 calories on that day, your body will store some of that unused energy as fat. If you eat less than 2000 calories, your body will burn some of the fat/muscle stored on your body for the energy needed to get up to the 2000 calories. Fat contains 9 calories for every gram, protein and carbs contain 4 calories for every gram. So fat is a greater and usually more readily available energy source. With that knowledge in mind, the greater the gap your create of calories burned minus calories taken in, the more weight you will lose as a result of turning to STORED energy. Everyone's body is different, there are so many factors, but 2000 calories is around the average amount of calories each person burns throughout the day.
and how fast can i lose the weight if i just simply eat healthier?
This ties in to my answer above. Again using a 2000 calorie example, if you just eat healthier and LESS, and take in 1600 calories, your body will need to burn 400 calories of stored energy in your body (fat most likely). But if you eat healthy AND work out, you will raise your body's energy needs from 2000 to say, 2500, and if you still eat only 1600 calories, your body will then need to burn an additional 900 calories.
So you can see, combining exercise WITH a proper diet results in almost doubling weight loss. This is all relative to your body and chemistry, but it's the general way that weight loss works.
