Has Hip Hop Gone To Far?

I like hip hop. Mostly old school. Hip Hop artists use to rap about anything and the people(meaing girls) in the videos could actually dance.Now its all about seeing girls in it potrayed as sex objects and shaking their asses. And the lyrics are as dirty as they could be. They only talk about sex and money. What ever happened to the old school hip hop. I watched Vh1 New Presents:Hip Hop Videos-Sexploitation on The Set. And I even stayed up to see these so called Uncut videos on BET. And you don't even have to know who the artists are because all through the video you just see girls shaking their asses in thongs. I hate what I see. Yes we all now that these days sex sells ,but so what. Crack Sells. And not only are the girls in the videos putting out bad images about woman. Mostly African American Woman because they are mostly the ones in the videos.the I am only 15 years old and now I would just prefer to watch old school instead of new school. And r%26amp;b. Will It Ever Change?

Reply:i agree hip hop is different these days. if you listen to ppl like 50 cent/ ludacris..ect their lyrics are just all about getting some or drugs. hip hop may change depending on whats hot, back then it wasnt all about sex and drugs but something more. Now because that topic is hot, ppl are starting to rap about it. I do wish it would change cuz now when you see a hip hop video its just girls in booty shorts dancing next to cars and men. But then there are ppl like Lupe Fiasco who rap about other things...
