What does it take for a dancer to be considered on the "beginning hip-hop", "intermediate hip-hop", or "advanced" hip-hop dancing levels???
Hip hop dance question?
i agree for the most part with the other two. although some studio's will put intermediate for a older group just to separate the age groups a little more. like I'm teaching a beginning class that's age 10 and up and then I'm teaching a intermediate that's 12 and up.
also it is more of a jazz/hip-hop cuz that can affect it to. because if you have a lot of jazz experience then intermediate would be best. but if its a true hip-hop class then you would be in beginning most likely
this is also affected by how well you catch on to hip-hop movement of course.
i would say that if you felt comfortable in beginning then go for intermediate. if you still felt a little awkward then stay in beginning.
Reply:Ok, so you already know those are the hip hop levels...GOOD. Those are just different levels of difficulty. So if your in level 1 you are learning the basics, level 2 is basics and then a little part of the hard stuff. And level 3 is all the way. If you are in a level 1 class and you can tell that you need to be in a higher level because it is too easy, then you are probably level 2 or vice versa.
Reply:Start off as a beginner, then you get better, more comfortable and more determined and well trained and you move to an intermediate level. Then you pretty much work your butt off and practice a ton and motivate yourself to do your best and then become advanced.
The process from beginner to advanced takes years. Best of luck to you.
