30 plus years, the level of his flow at this time in his life is so "grown-up" that it hurts. There is know one "Rapper" out there that could be compared to J. Is he the greatest? That remains to be seen. Where's Nas? What is going on with LL? Is Hip-Hop as we knew it, dead? Everybody looks to the past, Rappers and M.C's who pioneered the art. They look there for answers to why the Hip-Hop industry has evolved beyond recongnition. Thats is not the only place we should look. We need take a closer look at the lyrics. It's the lyrics. Well that's just my opinion. I think the answer is hidden in the words. Fast cars, beautiful women, hustlin', ice, ice and more ice. How is it, there are only a handful of M.C.'s, with HOV being one, that can be lyricly versitile? So I ask, is S. the Hip-Hop Savior, or do we have a problem on our hands? What will the generations of Hip-Hop fans to come inherit. Well for now it's just a "Shiny Dream", that's what were being sold, so thats what we listen to.
