People Saying Hip Hop Is Dead....?

I'm wondering why in the hell people are asking..."Why is Hip Hop Dead?" or " When did Hip Hop Die?"





These people don't even make any sense because if Hip Hop was DEAD then no one would have any good music to listen too....NO ONE!





These are the same people who listen to their fav artists..then come on here %26amp; say..."Hip Hop is dead!..Why?"





DON'T say Hip Hop is dead if you're listening to an artist in which you feel represents HIP HOP!





It's like watching a news report saying a plane crashed killing 230 people..then you come on here asking..."Why is EVERYONE dying?!?"

Reply:Your comparisions don't make no sense at all. The term "dead" has different meanings here. When someone says "Hip-Hop is dead" they mean the creative aspect of the music isn't what it used (or supposed) to be.





I believe hip-hop is dead, but there's still a few artist that shine in all that whackness thrown out there right now (Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Little Brother). The majority of the artist's lyrics today have the same, bland, repetitive crap. Hip-Hop lyrics are supposed to have meaning. When you listen to it you're supposed to say, "Hey I can relate to that". You don't have that nowadays. There's no effort to reach out to you. All you hear is rappers telling you how to dance (Shake it like a salt shaker).
