Is Hip Hop culture to blame for Eagles coach Andy reid's son's problem's Sports journalist said on Around the horn on friday that "hip hop" culture is responsible for Andy Reids sons drug use and criminal activity, do you think J.a. adande is correct or is he way off?. I think america is trying to blame anything but themselves for their problems, i agree HipHop has some negative issues but hip hop is ot responsible for societies ill's, the problem with andy reids kids and our society are created by our own bad decisions, to say hip hop is responsible is not excepting responsiblity for your own actions. Talib kweli , Mos def , kanye west, little brother, ludacris, krs one, rakim, common are a part of hip hop so is j.a. adande saying they are responsible for Andy reids childrens decisions. J.a. adande man up and place the blame where it belongs at the feet of the people who are responsible for themselves.
Is Hip Hop culture to blame for Eagles coach Andy reid's son's problem's?
Hip-hop is not responsible for the ills of this nation.People need to stop thinking that. I listen to hip hop and I'm not a drug dealin' pimp or whatever batch of negativity that is portrayed in the video. That kid has problems and if the music made him do it then that is natural selection weeding out the weak. The strong will survive.
Reply:Why not blame it on global warming, or the war in Iraq, or on Katrina, or maybe on Scientology? Perhaps country music, or the KKK, or maybe the nuclear age? Why not blame Meryl Streep, or Pat Robertson, Tony Blair, or Rosie O'Donnell?
When children from the same household get in trouble, look DIRECTLY at the parenting, and nowhere else. Blaming it on anything other than the parents is totally ridiculous.
Reply:If J.A. Adande said that he is a fool...why cant he just blame Andy Reid...He is an NFL coach...which means he is hardly ever home...which could lead to some problems on the home front...
Reply:No. You blame parenting. Music cannot raise children.
Reply:Even though I really dislike rap/hip hop, blaming the culture is ridiculous. NFL coaches put in so much time during the week and during the offseason that many don't take time out of the busy schedule to spend time with their family. Andy Reid was just probably trying to do his best, but the truth remains that sometimes the family needs more than his high salary.
To play devil's advocate, nobody knows the real truth with his family. Reid could have possibly spent more than enough time with his kids, maybe not. Its an internal issue and the media should probably give them their space. At this point it looks like Reid's family has serious issues.
Reply:He is WAY off. Whenever someone's child acts up, the parents are so quick to blame it on hip-hop when really it's something that the parents either did or did not do that causes a child to act out
Reply:no see whats to blame is that they are spoiled rich bitches that have nevered been held responsible for anything in their lives because daddy is important. this is just another attempt for them to not have to take blame fior that fact that they are crackheads.
