Hip-Hop is Dead by Nas?

That song started the whole hip-hop is dead campaign every1 knows this but if you listen to the song to me it sounds like his talking about why hip-hop is dieing and what he thinks about it. He never says hip-hop is dead he says "IF hip hop should die..." I'm just wondering if I just didn't hear stuff right and if anyone agrees.

Dude Nas was questioned on that whole situation, he was asked if he still thought what he said was true- Hip-hop was dead. He didn't really give an answer, but it's obvious he thinks its alive. He was like "...Well, that is in the past. Now is my new album N*gger" So yeah.





Also, many people dissed Nas for saying hip hop was dead, one of them being Young JEezy. If you can find that interview with jeezy, listen to it, it'ss real interesting.
