DMX: The Resurrection of Hip Hop?

DMX is getting back in the studio to record his 7th album which will be titled "The Resurrection of Hip Hop"..the title is in response to Nas album 'Hip Hop is Dead'... DMX said "Nas is my dog, and he put out Hip Hop Is Dead—and it pretty much IS dead. But, I’m gonna resurrect it with his help and the real artists in hip hop"

I've always respected DMX's talent (i think he has alot of respect from those within the hip hop community) and considered him to be one of the most truthful cats in the game, he doesnt hit you with all these gimmicks, he just comes real. I think this album has the potential to be a street classic..A "resurrection of hip hop" would require a movement, and I think DMX has the right idea by getting some real artists on his album...

i know its still early but what do you all think: Do you think his album will live up to its name? can this album help hip hop?

DMX: The Resurrection of Hip Hop?

Reply:I hope so but his last album sucked. But I hope this album would be a street classic like his debut album which was hot!!! I think It would probably live up to it's name by having guest appearances like the Game, Nas, Bone Thugs, %26amp; Mary J. Blige. Just having another DMX album can help hip-hop.
Reply:I don't think that hip hop is dead its just evolving. If anyone noticed, the only people that are talking about how hip hop is dying are dudes that came out in the 90s. No disrespect to them because they are some of the best MCs of all time, but they need to realize that the're not going to change the state of hip hop just because they don't like it.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to X's new album. I heard that he's trying to get joints with Nas, Jay, Em, Talib and other artists who spit fire. If promoted properly, the album could be big and could not only "ressurect" hip hop, but it can also ressurect X's career. His last album wasn't that hot, but every album before that was great and by the way this album is looking, it looks like it will put X back on the right track. He's setting the bar pretty high for the album and I hope it lives up to its expectation.
Reply:HIP HOP IS NOT DEAD ITS JUST CHANGIN DONT B HATIN CUZ I TAKE PERSONAL OFFENCE OF SAYING HIP HOP IS DEAD
