Buy Or Sell Hip Hop Will Never Die?

comments : m so sick of all these cats sayin "Hip Hop Is Dead", "Hip Hop Really Is In Trouble" %26amp; asking "How Long Will Hip Hop Last?" Sorry people Hip Hop is here to stay....you just have to know where to look!

The media that had once played a great role in the development of hip-hop culture in the past is now a major factor in the destruction of the culture. But the truth is commercialism misrepresents true hip-hop..... Real hip-hop is out there people. That's one thing that I would urge headz to do, is to look deeper into things that seem like they're being portrayed in a negative light. Anything that has a negative has a positive somewhere.

Most people are quick to just listen to whatever is being played on the radio. ... But there's this counter-culture of hip-hop artists that are out there talking about their life, talking about doing positive things in their communities, expressing ideas and feeling and all sorts of things.

So to all you so called hip hop headz cryin bout the demise of hip hop....dig deep. Theres so much out there to listen to....get your head out the clouds people!! Hip Hop is NOT gonna come to you like it did back in the day...it's grown %26amp; matured...and made a name for itself. So now it's your turn to go find it!

I, like many others did not choose to listen to hip hop...we were born into this culture! From my father bumpin Public Enemy during his Saturday night poker games to my brother force feeding me Brand Nubian %26amp; Poor Righteous Teachers...Hip hop has and always will be a part of my heart %26amp; soul.....so to me.....hip hip will never die....I just won't let it!

Buy Or Sell Hip Hop Will Never Die?
I agree with you there man. People everyday in this section saying that Hip-Hop is Dead, Nas said so, and saying that Hip-hop is under attack. I agree that Hip-hop is under attack due to boot-leg, politics, and complete cussing. There's real hip-hop music out there, in which people should pay attention to listen. Hip-hop isn't dying it's changing, to me hip-hop will remain alive as long the classic hip-hop artists continue to release new albums.
Reply:Buy...I dont give a damn about what people think about hip hop...I will listen to my ish as long as I live....
Reply:alrighty then
Reply:Buy....people need to get over the "hip hop is a passing phase" thing. I see some people even here are still in denial....they must not really love hip hop if they have no faith in the fact that it will last forever. Hip hop can never die simply because hip hop is more than just music....it's a culture. So even if the "music" doesn't last forever (unlikely)...we will still have the other elemnets that make hip hop such a prominent statute in society today.
Reply:BUY

i wish ppl would get off the Hip Hop is Dead Bandwagon
Reply:SMH...Hip Hop will never dead to purist...It came from the streets/underground and has influenced for sooo many years fashion and the fact that it has always been marketable...From Fruity Peebles(remember Barney rappin about it and this was back in the 80's) to bank cards...HipHop has affected suburbia's style also...Because those kids went from wearing rock style nut huggers to the loose baggy style of hip hop...To these fools jockin our slang and adding the ish to the dictionary...smh...lol

I also agree with you hip hop is from the heart...yea we dont like the fact that it has become a commercialized marketing tool...But you have to weight the pros and cons...Pros are its given these ghetto kids a chance to be something, beat the odds and grow from there like Jay, Master P, Russell, and yea 50...Cons are the quality of music is being dictated by the capitalist record company's that feel that "THIS" is what hip hop music should be...Market then gets flooded with crap and then u know the rest....But as long as there are Rawkus and Landspeed around I guess we can still get quality hip hop music with out the radio.
Reply:Sorry Esco, but I gotta sell them shits... I love Hip Hop with all my heart, but you *NEVER KNOW* what the future may hold. They thought Disco would never die and look what happened to it, like I said you just never know... I *HOPE* it doesn't die though.
Reply:yo, quit foolishness, n ur self righteousnesssss

listen to a wise man,, intro to mos def album black on both sides

"yo LISTEN lotta people ask me all the time 'yo mos whats gonna happen with hip hop, where u think hip hop is going?' i tell em u kno whats gona happen with hip hop? whatvevers happening with us, if we smoked out..hip hop gon be smoked out. if we doing alright hip hop is gona be doing alright

"PEOPLE TALK ABOUT HIP HOP LIKE ITS SOME GIANT LIVING ON THE HILLSIDE.., coming down to visit the townspeople..WE ARE HIP HOP, me, you..everybody! we are hip hop, so hip hop is going where we going!

SO THE NEXT TIME U ASK WHERE HIP HOP IS GOING ASK URSELF WHERE AM I GOING? how am i doing? and u get a clear idea!
Reply:hip hop will never die even though nas claims that hiphop is dead

I'm SOOOO tired of that "Is Hip-Hop dead?" mess.
Reply:thats what dem mofos want to happen its still here just aint nobody paying attention
Reply:buy..obvious...
Reply:you know im buyin
Reply:Buy, but i think that the newer generation will never know real hip hop, but instead they'll think its some teenager who makes a song that sounds good on a cell phone and you can do some stupid dance to it, so idk what will happen in the future but hip hop aint dead but i believe its on it's deathbed
Reply:sell

nothing lasts forever

but it will be around way past our lifetimes
Reply:buy the people who say that are just grtoupies of whatever they hear on t.v.
Reply:Underground and semi major is really where the most thoughtful and most talented artist are. Its doesnt always have to be a political statement in the music for me to say this is a talented artist...Example(MF DOOM,Madlib) but sometimes I do want to hear something that makes me think...Example(Common,Kweli). The internet is starting to take over the radios relevence because everyone loves choice. When Commons album was #1 in sales its first week it had very little radio play but myspace and other sites contributed to the album getting publicity.
Reply:that sure is a lot of stuff to read.

buy. u cant kill something that livez in people all across the world.
Reply:And of course opinions are like teeth...we all have them.

Good for you and your hip hop. Carry on...
Reply:prbley not
